Walk into Xuanshuihu
Xuzhou Xuanshui Lake (Garden Expo Park) Scenic Area is located in the southeast of the main urban area of Xuzhou City. It is the core area of the provincial-level Luliang Mountain Tourist Resort and the provincial-level ecological demonstration zone.Located in the northern part of the scenic area, it was formerly known as Xuan Shui Village. Its name originated from Su Shi's "Reply to Lu Liang Zhong Tun Tian" : "The surrounding mountains encircle Peng Men, but the official residence is alone in Xuan Shui Village." Surrounded by mountains on three sides and embraced by water on the other, this village features typical northern Jiangsu residences with stone walls, stone courtyards, blue tiles and upturned eaves. It boasts a profound cultural heritage, simple and honest folk customs, and a harmonious ecological environment. It has been honored as a "National Forest Village", a "First Beautiful and Livable Demonstration Village" by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, a "Provincial Characteristic Rural Village" in Jiangsu Province, and a "Most Beautiful Small Mountain Village" in Jiangsu Province. There are scenic spots in the village such as the Stone Museum, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, and the Red and Beautiful Village Research and Study Hall.
